The male connector permits easy plug-in and twist-lock capability to the Speaker Mic. On the opposite end is a female 3.5 mm connector for attaching your receive-only earpiece.

"I've been looking for an alternative to the Red Alert brand, and I think I've found it. While this N-Ear option is more expensive, it beats having to purchase and replace two or three connectors from other brands, just for them to break. This has been durable and projects a clear sound, which is all I need to hear communication clearly."
